As a Technical Product Manager at our company, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. Drawing on your deep technical expertise and understanding of our business goals, you'll collaborate closely with both our engineering teams and business stakeholders to create products that resonate with users and align with our strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Craft and execute product roadmaps based on business objectives, market research, and technological advancements
  • Technical Oversight: Leverage your technical background to make informed decisions about architecture, platforms, and integration. Understand and discuss architectural concepts, trade-offs, and new opportunities with technical team members
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into technical requirements. Simplify and communicate intricate technical topics for non-technical team members
  • Team Coordination: Serve as a bridge between the engineering teams and other departments. Ensure everyone is aligned and that technical challenges are addressed in harmony with business objectives
  • Non-functional requirements: Be able to capture and/or provide guidance in the capturing of non-functional requirements, i.e. requirements that describe the quality attributes or characteristics of a system, such as performance, security, scalability, reliability, and usability
  • Continuous Evolution: Keep abreast of the latest trends in technology, UX/UI design, and product management. Promote a culture of continuous innovation and improvement
  • Risk Management: Identify potential technical and business risks and devise strategies or processes to mitigate them
  • Feedback Loop: Create and maintain feedback mechanisms for end-users and internal teams, ensuring that our products are user-centric
  • Resource Allocation: Work with project managers and team leads to allocate resources effectively, ensuring on-time product deliveries without compromising quality

Your profile

  • A background in technology, with experience in roles such as software development, business/functional analysis or system design
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, with a track record of launching successful technical products
  • Strong grasp on Agile methodologies, emphasizing rapid iteration, feedback, and effective collaboration
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at liaising between business and technical teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a keen eye for details
  • Ability to swiftly create a helicopter view on complex functional and technical topics
  • Proficient in Dutch or French and English

Are considered to be assets:

  • Familiarity with React Native, Java/Spring, Node.js, BFF (Backend For Frontend), and related technologies
  • Understanding of Cloud Solutions, Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern development tools and frameworks
  • Proficiency with performance testing and optimization tools
  • Knowledge of security best practices in product development
  • Experience within public sector
  • Experience with e-commerce solutions
  • Experience within the public transport domain
